Sure, it’s an older photo. But look at me making coffee at an event!
Baby, this is me
I wish I could sleep for just one night in the American Wing at the Met. I think I’d settle down in visible storage, somewhere in the neighborhood of Sargent and Chase’s epic portraits, or between rows of drop-leaf tables made of oak and pine.
It could honestly be any art institution. Being surrounded by art feels like being immersed in a lush, vibrant green forest after a sun shower, and inhaling deeply. I feel my best and do my best work when there is an element of creativity - whether it be writing, designing, drawing, making; or ideation, planning, restructuring, training, researching or developing.
Surviving in the service industry means becoming a bit of a Jack of all trades. You’re learning and moving quickly, developing gymnast-level flexibility in switching between tasks, all while honing both hard and soft skills on the floor. My skills are diverse. As diverse as my creative pursuits, as diverse as my interests. If I were a hair color in a box dye commercial, you would call me multifaceted, and it would be true.
I made this website mostly to help me get a job. To communicate to you, future employer or patron, examples of all the different things I can do, and like to do, that don’t necessarily show up on my resumé (which you can find here, please admire my highly transferrable skills) but that I could apply to whatever it is you’re going to hire me to do. Thanks for taking the time to check it out, I hope it does the trick.
