I can teach anyone how to make good coffee. I really can. I have proof, and you can find it in the coffee shops all over the Northeast. I can also build a program to teach coffee, or anything else with enough access to resources. One of my passions is to share information, much to the chagrin of my friends on the recieving end of any number of “fun facts”. Sensory Analysis
A formerly picky eater, I have come to love the break down of sensory experience. How it impacts preference, and is impacted by every moment in your life up until that one. I am available for consultation related to product, palate, or recipe development; coffee competition preparation or coaching, basic discriminatory analysis, and analysis for recreational purposes. In every role I’ve held there has been an element of community connection, and it’s the stuff that makes the work easy. Retail + Events
I started working in the service industry in 2009, and luckily I got the hang of it before my tight-ship-running manager got the chance to ‘86 me. I got off the floor of the cafe in 2011, but I’ve found myself quite frequently managing, marketing, and supporting events in the years since. Event service is a favorite of mine, as I love the potential for creative thinking and communing with folks you might not otherwise.
